Friskis&Svettis’ work out is fun and effective and it has been developed in co-operation with experts in the fields of medicine and physiology, on the basis of scientific research. A session of Friskis&Svettis work out integrates all the essential elements of physical exercise, i.e. warm-up, flexibility, strength, stamina, tone-down and relaxation. Friskis&Svettis Luxembourg offers many different types of workout. The Start session is simple and gentle and is perfect to start with if you are not used to exercise. The Basic sessions are suitable for those who want to improve their fitness, strength and flexibility. The Medium sessions target those who are fairly fit and like somewhat tougher exercises, but with gentle movements. The tempo is higher than in the Basic session and jumps are included. F&S Luxembourg also offers other types of classes.
In the Barbell sessions you use a barbell and weights to work out. Core concentrates on exercises which strengthen your abdominals and back. The Dance session is a session with a mix of moves inspired from disco, jazz, latin, swing, funk and more. Easy to follow, but lots of attitude, feeling and fun. Yoga builds upon classic yoga and focuses on breathing, movement and relaxation. Ki-Balance is a focused and liberating session, where you train balance, body awareness, relaxation and breathing. F&S also has a programme of outdoor sessions like Nordic Walking and Cross-Training. In the Junior sessions children between six and twelve train body awareness and basic physical skills. The Family sessions target children between two and a half and six years and their parents. The aim of these sessions is to have fun, jump, run, move and exercise together. See the schedule and read more about the different sessions here. Free park sessions in the summer In the summer time Friskis&Svettis offers free outdoor workout sessions in the Parc de Merl in cooperation Luxembourg City and under the patronage of the Swedish Embassy in Luxembourg.
