CoreCore moves to Mühlenbach

The Core session, which focuses on exercises which strengthen your abdominals and back, has outgrown its old premises. This session will now be offered in the Mühlenbach school on 151 rue de Mühlenbach, which is next to Place Dargent.

There is a big parking on the right side Place Dargent and Côte d'Eich, if you come from town, just before the road splits to Route d'Echternacht and Rue d'Eich. You can also go there by busses 8, 10, 11 and 21.

Please bring your own mat to the Core session, which will continue to be offered at 8 p.m. on Tuesdays.

Join one of Friskis' Relais pour la vie teams

Relais 2009

Friskis&Svettis Luxembourg will, once again, take part in Relais pour la vie, which will take place 6 to 7 March in the Coque Arena. This time Friskis&Svettis will have three Classic Teams, which means the teams will walk or run for 12 hours on 7 March.

If you are a F&S member and interested to join one of Friskis' teams and run or walk for a good cause, send an e-mail to Noëlle Tourtois. Please indicate if you prefer to walk/run for 30 minutes or one hour, if you prefer morning or afternoon and don't forget to write your mobile phone number.

Friskis&Svettis will pay the registration fee for everyone in the teams, but you are encouraged to donate money to Relais pour la vie to support the fight against cancer.

BarbellBarbell workshop 26 February

Barbell requires some basic technique in order to be functional and fun training. On Friday 26 February at 7 p.m., Åsa will explain most of the moves and postures used during the Barbell sessions. The aim is to show participants the correct positions to avoid injuries, focus on the right muscle groups and get the most out of the training.

There will be plenty of time to try each move and to ask questions. The session will be 1.5 hours and it will include a short cardio sequence, so good shoes are necessary.

As for all Barbell sessions (see bellow), you need to send Åsa an e-mail and sign up in order to participate. And if you can't make it, please let her know so that others can get your spot.

Book your place at the Barbell sessions

The Barbell sessions are open to all members over 15 years of age. The places in this session are limited so if you want to be sure to get a place, please book your spot by sending Åsa an e-mail.

In case you can not come, please make sure to send a cancellation e-mail before 3 p.m. the day of the course. This way, people on the waiting list can join.

Please note that you can not book several courses in a row and that the booking for next week opens immediately after the end of the current weeks session. You can sign up until 5 p.m. the day of the course.

If you do not show up before 7.50 the day of the class, your spot will be given to those who are on the waiting list.
